I cannot believe that Ted Lasso is as good as it is. This is a sitcom based on a seven-year-old NBC Sports promo, for Christ’s sake. A very funny promo starring Jason Sudeikis, absolutely, but you wouldn’t think after watching it that it would inspire a comedy that’s not just very funny, but also has an enormous amount of heart to it.
OMG yes to all of this. This show is a warm hug, and I love it so much. I wish the season was longer than 10 episodes, because I'm really going to miss it when it ends, but I'd rather have a shorter season with perfect episodes than a longer one with filler. AND we already know there will be Season 2. I can't believe that a show with just two women in it manages to pass the Bechdel Test every episode. And I never thought I'd be so into a sports show, but every character is perfect, and Jason Sudeikis is a joy to watch.
