20 TikToks I enjoyed recently
After reading Scaachi Koul’s TikTok Was 2020's Only Silver Lining on BuzzFeed News and feeling incredibly seen, I figured y’all might enjoy looking at some of the TikToks that I’ve enjoyed recently! I know I said a few months ago that I deleted the app because of privacy concerns, and then I was like “Fuck it, my mental health needs this.” I usually end up texting Craig several cat-related TikToks many times a day while we’re sitting next to each other on the couch.
This is by no means an exhaustive list of my favourite TikToks (and they’re basically just in the order that I found them scrolling through my “likes” page), just a bunch I hit “like” on recently that I think you should also see.
This non-stop thrill ride with a satisfying ending.
This duet of dancers recreating the opening routine from Bring It On.
This user who shares quotes from the “real life Nick Miller” from New Girl who they live with.
The best pigeon I’ve ever seen.
How to work through your issues if you can’t afford therapy.
A TikTok you’re gonna need to watch at least twice.
This TikTok that’ll make your heart explode.
When you give a toddler an egg.
In defense of thirst traps.
A very good dad who is a very good cook.
I know I’m not the only one who loves Bunny the talking dog.
There are ton of videos about what having adult ADHD is like, and all the ones I’ve seen, especially this one, made me actually call my doctor to ask about getting assessed.
Speaking of: “My girlfriend asking me to do stuff for her while she’s at work.”
When you send your significant other out to get groceries.
Things you have in your Toronto apartment if you pay less than $2,000 a month.
Getting a puppy for your cat.
Aggressively telling your boyfriend that you love the picture he posted on Instagram.
This one is all too real.
Another paywalled issue of Kat Watches Everything comes out tomorrow!
If you appreciate my newsletter and the work that goes into it, pitching in a few bucks for a paid subscription helps keep it going. It’s $5 a month or $50 a year, and those paying subscribers get to read bonus content I put out several times a month! Tomorrow, I’m going to tell you about another really bad horror movie that I paid money to rent! It’s called Blind and I’m going to save from watching it, in case you somehow were feeling tempted. If that sounds like something you’d be into, click the button below.
That’s all for me today, gorgeous! Talk to you soon.
Love,
Kat
